Keerthikan is the training coordinator for Thenmaradchy zonal schools. He is an aspiring graduate from University of Jaffna with Bachelors in planning. He has been part of several skill building programmes during his studies at University of Jaffna. He has participated in 24 days leadership training organized by the Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Army. He has completed Peace Education Programme that has been conducted for 24 days at University of Jaffna.
He has been part of several researches and community planning initiatives conducted at the University of Jaffna. He has assisted to conduct a census study in a village in Jaffna, to assess the disaster risks of the extremely vulnerable population. He has been part of the planning done to improve the Ratnapura town plan. He has been part of developing plan to reduce the traffic in Jaffna district under the leadership of a renowned professor in the University of Jaffna. He has also been part of planning a commercial capital for Northern Province.
During his studies at Jaffna University, he has excelled in extra-curricular and sports. He participated in Cricket, Volleyball and Elle games. He worked as a research assistant with Medical Faculty for one year for a research related to heart diseases. He has been an active member in sports and athletic games and participated in district and provincial levels. As a youth, he has mobilized different communities to engage in development community based plans based on their needs and resources.
