Kunaradnam Pradeep, a native of the Thenmaradchy region, currently serves as the Training Coordinator at Visions Global Empowerment, focusing on the youth development of the Thenmaradchy Zone. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Fine Arts from Jaffna University, complemented by a Post Graduate Diploma in Sociology from the University of Peradeniya.
Following his academic pursuits, Pradeep dedicated five years to serving as a Project Coordinator at Aruthal, an NGO based in Jaffna. During his tenure, he spearheaded various initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, particularly aimed at empowering preschools. His responsibilities encompassed training preschool teachers in inclusive education, child protection, and first-aid. Additionally, he conducted psychological training sessions to assist teachers in managing post-COVID stress among preschool children.
Pradeep actively engages as a resource person in training sessions focused on Gender Equality and Gender Rights. Moreover, he passionately advocates for the rights of LGBTQIA+ communities while actively contributing to the establishment of alternative education systems, including the creation of libraries and the promotion of village-based learning.
Beyond his social and activist endeavors, Pradeep is an accomplished writer in Tamil Linguistics. He has authored two books: "Medusa," a collection of short stories, and "Nakulathi," a novel. Furthermore, he has served as an Editor for the magazine "Thonmaiyaththirai." His diverse skill set also includes a diploma in Media Studies, through which he briefly contributed to the media industry.
