Mr. Kirushothan recently graduated from the University of Jaffna with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Community and Regional Planning. During his time at university, he actively contributed as one of the committee members of the Young Planner's Society (2022/23). Beyond academics, he is an enthusiastic sportsman and has served as a facilitator for TeamUp Sri Lanka, a movement-based program focusing on play therapy for children.
He participated in a leadership program offered by the American Corner Jaffna and gained experience as a data collector for community-based surveys, utilizing tools like the Kobo Collect application. With a strong interest in the development sector, he is committed to leveraging his communication and leadership skills for the betterment of the community.
He has also completed St. John’s Ambulance Level 1 training and actively engaged in community service through the Young Planners Society at Jaffna University. Cricket holds a special place in his heart, and he currently plays for a registered hardball cricket team in Jaffna.
His passion lies in social development and the conservation of natural resources. He aspires to enhance his public speaking skills and has been involved in various activities within the school disaster management committee. Notably, his dissertation during graduation focused on planning public buildings with a special consideration for the accessibility of differently abled individuals.
