Born and raised in the Jaffna District, he worked as a civil servant in different positions with the Divisional Secretariats for 21 years. On the academic front, he completed his Bachelors and Masters in Business Management. He has done his research on “Women Empowerment through Micro Finance in the Vadamaradchy North Division” as part of his Master’s degree. Aside from his government service, he has been a voluntary community worker and is currently part of social and religious forums as an advisory and honorary member.
